Dustin Smith
Cybersecurity Sentry

Greetings all! My name is Dustin Smith, and my true passion is information technology; more specifically, Cybersecurity.
Being a victim of cyber theft; occurring on Christmas Eve in 2019, was the defining moment when I knew I had to make a difference by learning how to fight back. As my knowledge evolves in IT, something I quickly learned was helping others comes in many different forms, not just protecting them. This is the drive behind my passion for IT. To help as many as possible on any level I am able, while making genuine and personal connections throughout the process. It means everything to me.
I appreciate you taking the time to read my bio!

MY EXPERIENCE

Head of Support

Jackson's LODO
Denver, CO | February, 2018 - June, 2023

I was hired at Jackson's to develop and implement multiple layers of strategic planning and robust protocols to result in increased annual LBW sales, while also reducing total inventory to the desired pars set for budget goals. One of the crucial factors in achieving this was through meticulous auditing of previous years PMIX and employee sales performance reports. As a result, annual LBW sales percentage increased each passing year while under my planning, beginning at 8% and ending with a 20% increase. Furthermore, the areas of responsibility I managed were:

  • Training and development for newly hired support team members.

  • Carry out bi-weekly performance reviews.

  • Monitor product inventory and disbursement.

  • Budget achievement along with P/L reporting.

Assistant General Manager

Tavern Hospitality Group
Denver, CO | March, 2012 - February, 2018

Being on a hospitality management team for a business consisting of 25,000 square feet of interior space, in addition to 10,000 square feet of exterior rooftop space, can certainly have many, many challenges. These were the type of challenges I thrived to be in. Over the course of my employment at Tavern Hospitality Group, I was promoted to Assistant General Manager in under my first year. One of the primary decisions that led to my promotion so quickly was due not only to my ability to follow through on targeted guidelines, rules, and regulations, but for consistently taking the time to deeply understand why, and how, those guidelines are implemented. Some additional traits and responsibilities I portrayed during my tenure here were:

  • Keen attention for organization, precision, and efficiency.

  • Collaboration on standard operating procedure improvements.

  • Equally versed with scenarios requiring proactive and/or reactive decision making.

  • Remarkable ability exercising time management..
